24" LCD mit e-IPS-Panel und 16:10 Seitenverhältnis

Mit dem P241W hat NEC das erste Modell seiner MultiSync P Monitor-Serie vorgestellt. Diese soll eine günstige Alternative zur teuereren MultiSync PA-Serie darstellen. Der 24,1 Zoll große P241W verfügt über ein e-IPS-Panel mit einem 16:10 Seitenverhältnis sowie einer nativen Auflösung von 1.920 x 1.200 Pixel und soll 96,7 Prozent des sRGB-Farbraums abdecken. Die DisplaySync-Pro-Funktion ermöglicht über Picture-in-Picture sowie Picture-by-Picture den gleichzeitigen Betrieb von zwei Computern. Der integrierte USB Hub kann dabei als KVM-Switch fungieren.

Die Helligkeit des P241W wird mit maximal 360 cd/m² bzw. 250 cd/m² bei aktivierter “Digital Uniformity Correction” angegeben, die Kontrastrate mit 1000:1 und die Reaktionszeit (grau-zu-grau) soll bei acht Millisekunden liegen. Dank des e-IPS-Panels soll der maximale Blickwinkel sowohl vertikal als auch horizontal 178 Grad betragen.

Der P241W ist bis zu 150 Millimeter in der Höhe verstellbar und bietet eine Dreh-, Neige- sowie Pivotfunktion. Zum Anschluss stehen jeweils ein DisplayPort und VGA- sowie zwei DVI-Anschlüsse bereit. Da auf eine LED-Hintergrundbeleuchtung verzichtet wird, liegt der maximale Verbrauch bei 95 Watt.

NEC gewährt auf den P241W eine Garantie von 4 Jahren. Der Monitor soll noch in diesem Monat in den Farben Schwarz und Silber zu einer unverbindlichen Preisempfehlung von 749 US-Dollar bzw. 999 US-Dollar für die SpectraViewII-Variante P241W-BK-SV) inkl. Hard- und Software zur Farbkalibrierung erhältlich sein. In Preisvergleichen wird der P241W bereits ab etwa 683 Euro aufwärts gelistet.
